The Rivermont Cabins are located on a quiet 70 acre stretch on the river by the Smoky Mountains. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the cabins' hiking trails, fishing pond and hammocks; on a less-pleasant day, play inside in the game room. Head half a mile to the Pigeon River for tubing, more fishing and swimming. A variety of cabins are available (9 total, all nonsmoking), each with kitchens, TV, hardwood floors, Internet access and fireplace. Some cabins have washer/dryer, grill, dishwasher and rocking chairs. The Cabin On Eagles Nest offers three beds, Jacuzzi, fireplace, wraparound porch, DVD player, grill and full kitchen. Internet access is not available. Situated on five acres, the cabin offers a private stream and pond, plus a covered porch. Guests may not smoke inside the cabin. While on site, visitors can explore the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway, shop for crafts at the Cherokee Indian Reservation, ride the rails and view the scenery on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and for sporting enthusiasts, raft, ride horses, fish, hike, bike, ski, swim and golf.
