Arrowhead Inn Bed & Breakfast

• Built in 1775, the Arrowhead Inn offers bed and breakfast accommodations in both the plantation's main manor house and on-site cabins and cottages. The original plantation has been renovated to provide modern amenities and sits on six acres of gardens and lawns. The Carolina Log Cabin is a replica reconstruction of a 1700s land-grant cabin. The living and sleeping areas are divided between the cabin's two floors and include a king-sized bed, whirlpool tub and flagstone wood-burning fireplace. The Arrowhead Inn offers a variety of packages, including romantic and girlfriend getaways, golf packages and food add-ons.

Greensboro Campground

• The Greensboro Campground prides itself on offering old-fashioned Southern hospitality. Visitors to the campground can choose between renting a one- or two-bedroom rustic cabin. Campers are required to bring their own bedding and anything else that might be required for a comfortable camping trip. The campground and cabins aren't far from the Emerald Pointe Wet 'n Wild Water Park, Greensboro Children's Museum and the Natural Science Center of Greensboro. There's a swimming pool on site along with a playground and picnic pavilion.

Bates Cabins

• Bates Cabins offers four- to six-bedroom cabin rentals in the Smoky Mountains and Cowee Valley area. These eight cabins are pet friendly and feature fully equipped kitchens along with other conveniences of home. Each cabin provides safety gates and childproof doorknobs to prevent any young children from getting onto the staircases or off the porch. There are five national forests in the area that provide ample hiking trails and many nearby waterfalls. The cabins are available year round. In cases of extensive snowfall, Bates Cabins personnel clear the driveways and provide safe access to the main roads.
