Visit or contact a business specifically tailored to swimming with dolphins. Dolphin World, for example, is headquartered in Fort Myers and has sister locations throughout the state of Florida, the United States and the Dominican Republic.
Log online, and visit the Dolphin World website. View all of the various swimming with dolphin packages. Inquire about the packages in Miami or Key Largo; these are the closest sister locations in the state.
Book your program. All programs are approximately six hours long, and prices of the programs vary depending on the time of year. Print out directions to the Miami or Key Largo facility. Plan on a two-and-a-half-hour drive in the car to get to a facility. The distance between Fort Myers and Miami, for example, is 157 miles.
Sign all necessary waivers to swim with the dolphins. According to the Dolphin World website, all parents or guardians bringing children under the age of 18 "that are not legally their own" will require an official waiver signed by the legal parent or guardian before the child can participate.
Pack a travel bag; include a swimming suit, a clean towel and clothes for each person to wear following the dolphin swimming fun. Pack a camera and sunscreen as well. Dolphin swimming programs do not provide food, so have a cooler ready with beverages and sandwiches.
