How to Swim With Dolphins in the USA

There are several places you can travel to that allow you to swim with dolphins within the United States. The most common places for dolphin encounters are Hawaii and Florida. These dolphin encounters can take place at specialty parks such as Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida or in Oahu, Hawaii where you can swim with dolphins in their own surroundings. The cost for these dolphin swims varies and can be costly.

      Contact a place such as Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida for package options and pricing. Choose a package and make a reservation to swim with the dolphins. Be sure that you are aware of all rules and regulations. Children must be at least 6 years old to swim with the dolphins and children between the ages of 6 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

      Arrive at the park and change into your swimsuit. Apply sunscreen and put on a life jacket. Receive a gift bag with waterproof camera and t-shirt. Head to the dolphin lagoon where the one-on-one dolphin experience will take place. Meet with a trainer who will guide you through the experience.
