The Appleton Area Recreational OHV Park is a 330-acre public park near the city of Appleton. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources allows Class I and Class II vehicles, such as dirt bikes and ATVs, to be driven throughout the park. The park is known for several different dirt trails. There are also two miles dedicated to dirt bike riding only.

The Martineau OHM Trails are specifically made for dirt bike riders. The trails are actually two major loops that combined provide more than 105 miles of dirt bike riding. The trails are part of the Paul Bunyan State Forest, located within Hubbard County. Experienced bikers can have some fun on the generally moderate trails, while novice dirt bikers can get used to trail riding on the many miles of smooth trails.

Trout Valley Trails is part of the Richard J. Dorer State Forest near the city of Rochester. Trout Valley Trails are the only part of the state forests where dirt bikers are allowed to ride. There are around 7 miles of dirt bike trails that offer novice dirt bike riders easy rides. A unique aspect of the trails is that riders can see the intersection of three rivers: the Mississippi, the Trout, and the Whitewater.
