A trip to Miami would not be complete without a visit to famed South Beach. Take a stroll along trendy Collins Avenue while marveling at its Art Deco architecture; along the route, discover the South Beach designer district, featuring stores such as Versace, Todd Oldham, Kenneth Cole, Hugo Boss and Betsey Johnson. Soak up some rays on the white, sandy beach in the morning, and head to Lincoln Road for a spot of lunch and some heavy duty people-watching. With seven blocks closed to traffic, Lincoln Road is a pedestrian mall, and one of South Beach's main restaurant and eclectic shopping areas. This section of South Beach features street performers; numerous outdoor cafes; bohemian clothing stores; and art galleries, such as the impressive Art Center South Florida.
Located on Rickenbacker Causeway between downtown Miami and Miami Beach, the 38-acre outdoor Miami Seaquarium guarantees a fun-filled day for kids of all ages. The entertainment park has eight different marine animal shows daily, including the antics of Salty the Sea Lion and friends in the Golden Dome Sea Lion Show; and the impressive Killer Whale and Dolphin Show, showcasing Lolita the Killer Whale. Dolphin encounters are offered at the park for an additional fee. Convenient food establishments and various gift shops are scattered throughout the property. The Miami Seaquarium is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
