• Experience the outdoors and nature at The Coastal Discovery Museum. The museum was established in 1985 at Honey Horn on Hilton Head Island. The 68-acre historic property is used to educate the public about the historical events and artistic legacy of the area. The Museum makes learning about Hilton Head Island a fun-filled experience through nature tours and cruises for the whole family. Featured programs include getting to know a "Gator", which features a live alligator. The kayak tours provide a glimpse in the life of dolphins and other marine life. Nature walks provide a beautiful scenery of butterflies, birds and blue crabs. Alternatively, visit the exhibition gallery, which houses temporary exhibitions throughout the year with different themes.

Golf

• Hilton Head Golf, known as the Heritage Collection at Hilton Head Island, offers seven championship golf courses and 135 holes within four prestigious clubs. Spend the day playing golf at your choice of Palmetto Hall Plantation, Port Royal, Shipyard and Oyster Reef Golf Club. This location also affords the opportunity to stroll along the Atlantic Ocean. Amenities include a 14,000-square foot mansion-size clubhouse. A restaurant is available at each club offering lunch and casual dinner daily. All clubs offer both group and individual golf lessons. A practice facility, golf shop and rental clubs are available for convenience. All ages are welcome to play at the facility.

Arts and Culture

• The Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra features talented musicians from around the world. In 1982, a group of 14 musicians came together to play music and formed the orchestra. The orchestra now hosts a youth orchestra, concert competition, special events and picnic and pops. Every May starts the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra's picnic and pops music series with a concert at Rose Hill Plantation. If you enjoy arts and music, this culture fest is the best place to be in Hilton Head. Other activities throughout the year include summer concerts, a piano competition, seafood jazz and brew festival.
