The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a non-profit facility where visitors can see and interact with marine animals native to the area. Most of the animals at the aquarium are either sick or injured and are undergoing rehabilitation. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is only one of eight facilities in the country that rescues and rehabilitates marine life. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is also home to Winter, a dolphin who lost her tail fin as a baby when she was caught in a crab trap. Winter now swims with a prosthetic fin and has been featured on the NBC Today Show, CNN and the BBC.
