Sights to See in Las Vegas

Las Vegas was built on tourist attractions, and the place to see the best of what Sin City has to offer is right on Las Vegas Boulevard. While it's possible you may wish to visit all the casinos you can, there are plenty of sights to see up and down the strip that don't require an ID or a babysitter.
  1. Bellagio Fountains

    • Directly in the center of the Las Vegas strip is the beautiful Bellagio. Its famous water show is a tourist magnet; every 15 to 30 minutes the aquatic dance is performed, choreographed to the tune of various types of music from Frank Sinatra's hits to the Pink Panther theme song. The event is free for all ages.

    Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum

    • Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum has locations across the globe featuring wax sculptures of hundreds of celebrities and cultural icons that you can get up close and personal with. The Vegas museum, located in the Venetian hotel, houses scarily accurate doppelgangers of our favorite stars, including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Michael Jackson, Hugh Hefner, Barack Obama and more. You can poke, prod and pose with figures so lifelike you just might fool your friends back home.

Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage

    • At the Mirage, Cirque du Soleil takes music from the legendary Beatles and creates a whimsical, flexible show featuring 60 artists from around the world. Using original recordings from the Fab Four, the dancers take their strength and bodily art to its greatest potential: climbing ropes, effortlessly floating through the theater, and flipping from one end of the stage to the other in one fluid motion. LOVE is truly a sight to see for the music as well as for the amazing talents of the Cirque dancers. Running since 2006, the wildly successful show is appropriate for all ages.

    Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay

    • The aquarium at Mandalay Bay contains over 2,000 animals, including golden crocodiles, stingrays, jellyfish, piranhas, sea turtles and, of course, over ten types of sharks. The shark reef creates a learning experience while you peruse the 1.6 million tons of seawater all around you, using a hand-held remote control to learn about all of the animals in each exhibit. The only predator-based aquarium on the continent also offers SCUBA programs, where visitors can pay a pretty penny to dive deep with the animals in the reef's Shipwreck Exhibit.
