Prelude is the new outpost located inside the Arsht Center, on the second floor of the Ziff Opera House (also home of the Miami City Ballet and New World Symphony). In popular Barton G. fashion, the menu is creative. However, instead of featuring over-the-top food presentations, Prelude offers a "Diner's Decision" concept of ordering; a fixed-price menu that allows you to choose any three dinner menu items for $39 or any two lunch/brunch items for $23. Another cool factor for this dining room is its supper club design. The décor includes eccentric accents with wooden booths, lily-pad ceiling lights, a long onyx bar and flat-screens displaying flowing jellyfish.

The design district is known for new upbringings. Here you'll find some of the city's most unique venues, like Sra. Martinez, located in a former Post Office building built in the 1920s. World famous chef Michelle Bernstein designed the Spanish menu at this tapas lounge. The décor reflects a Spanish vibe from its Mexican tiled bar to the Spanish posters on the aged walls. The restaurant also features a mezzanine with a communal table, available for reservations for an intimate dining experience. The soft lighting and late-night energy makes this the coolest spot in the design district.

Located inside the swanky, Gansevoort South hotel, this sexy steakhouse features two levels of sophisticated décor. Upon arrival you'll first notice the bar that sits in a lounge area with a few low-slung couches. Warm leather booths flank the bottom floor for an intimate dining experience. The second floor features more seating to accommodate the restaurant's overwhelming reservations. There's also a built-in DJ booth that is occupied daily with popular DJs providing the night's soundtrack.
