The Miami International Airport (MIA) is southern Florida's primary airport, and over 33 million people travel through it each year, as of 2010. One of the busiest airports in the United States, MIA flies to every continent except Antarctica and offers direct flights to most major U.S. cities. Many stores and restaurants are available at MIA for patron usage.
  1. Sushi Maki

    • Established in 2000, Sushi Maki is an award-winning restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine. Suski Maki restaurants can be found in Whole Foods stores, malls and universities throughout southern Florida. The Miami Airport's Sushi Maki is located on Concourse D, near gate D-29. In addition to sushi, it features Japanese foods, such as edamame, spring rolls and miso tofu soup.

    La Carreta

    • Located in the North Terminal, La Carreta Restaurant specializes in Cuban food. Entrees include shrimp ajillo (garlic shrimp), fried yucca sticks and fried calamari. After the entrees, patrons can choose from pork, seafood, chicken and beef entrees. La Carreta also offers soups, sandwiches, salads, and drinks, as well as desserts, such as flan, pudding and meringue cake.

    Au Bon Pain

    • A bakery, Au Bon Pain primarily serves bread and foods using baked goods, such as breads, muffins, bagels and sandwiches. However, it also offers pastas, soups and rice. Menu items include egg on a bagel, chipotle chicken sandwich, Caesar Asiago salad and cinnamon crisp bagel. Beverages such as coffee, chocolate milk and soda are also available for purchase.
