• Offering the beloved combo of grill and full liquor bar, Blacksmith Lounge is a burger and rib joint meets games and car shows kind of place. Although this bar looks like a simple barn from the outside there is so much more inside, including off sale liquor and folks who know each other by name. The menu is fairly priced and there are happy hour specials Monday through Friday. The Blacksmith Lounge is classic Minnesota. • Technically located in Centerville, but visited by Hugo locals, Kelly's is the place to go to for drinks and fun. Home of the "Free Thanksgiving Dinner," Kelly's is always offering up raffles, specials and great ways to get the community in the door and involved. Happy hour is offered 7 days a week from 4-7 p.m. and nightly events like karaoke, ladies night, and the Bloody Mary bar are surefire hits with the bar crowd.

  Kelly's also offers a menu for those who want to have a bite or two before they wet their whistle. This is great spot for late night hangouts or an early family fun night.

• Blue Heron is a newer bar and grill in the Hugo area. For those who want a little more of a trendy setting with their round of drinks, this is the place for you. Open nightly until 2 a.m., Blue Heron offers a late-night menu and a full specialty drink menu including martinis. In other words, this isn't your parents' Hugo beer bar. Whether you enjoy wine, beer, or mixed drinks Blue Heron has quite the selection and a vast array of daily drink specials designed to help you enjoy your night.
  As of 2010, martinis are $7.50, signature cocktails start at $5, and there are beer specials daily. Blue Heron is a great spot to feel big city in the middle of small town America.
