To take a concealed weapon class online, go to your state's Department of Safety website and look at its list of services. In many instances, instructions on how to get a concealed carry permit will be in that section of the website; if your state has an online concealed-weapon class it will be listed here. Alternatively, search the Internet for a private company in your state that offers an online concealed carry permit class. Follow instructions given on the website of your choice to register. You will need to give your personal information and credit card number.
The online class will familiarize you with the right-to-carry rules and regulations of your county and state. You will also learn about guns, ammunition and gun safety, vital information so that you can safely carry and handle a firearm. You also will complete paperwork for the concealed carry permit.
You must qualify at a gun range to complete your training and ensure you are capable with a firearm. The qualification will most often be on a weekend at a nearby range; when you begin the class, the administrating company will usually specify the date of the qualification and location of the gun range.
