How to Carry a Passport Abroad

Your passport is the most important document that you carry while traveling abroad. It proves your citizenship and is one of the best forms of identification you have. Nothing can ruin a trip abroad like having it stolen or lost. Without your passport, your return trip to your country of origin may be delayed. Losing a passport also poses the danger of identification theft. There are a few precautions that you should always take when carrying a passport abroad.
