Lift the suitcase onto a bed or a long, flat table. Ensure the bed, table or surface is clean and dry. Conduct a visual scan of the area and ensure there are no coins, clothes hangers or pens that could scratch or stain your suitcase.
Open the lock with your preferred combination. If this is your first time opening the suitcase, consult the directions on the packaging. The packaging will provide you with a temporary code that will enable you to open the suitcase and also provide you with directions for resetting the combination.
With the lock now open, zip the suitcase open. Push or pull all zippers to the left or right side. Place your clothes, souvenirs and other personal care items in the suitcase.
Place the suitcase in a cool, dry place when you return home. Unlock the lock when you return home, keeping it unlocked prior to future use.
Store the corporate warranty, the packaging directions and a copy of your lock combination in a safe place. Copy these documents on a printer and store a second set for safekeeping.
