How to Convert Dinar Into USA Dollars

The dinar is the currency used in nine countries throughout the Middle East, Africa and Europe. Specifically, it is the official currency of Iraq, Jordan, Algeria, Libya, Kuwait, Bahrain, Tunisia, Macedonia and Serbia. The value of each country's dinar differs; it is not the same currency in any two countries. The value of each country's dinar also fluctuates according to the inflation of each country's economy. However, by using online resources, you can easily convert your dinar into USA dollars.

Instructions

    • 1

Do not rely on outdated currency exchange rates found in guide books or old newspapers, as these rates can change rapidly, particularly in a bad economy. Instead, get the latest data from a reputable website such as XE.com (see Resources).

    • 2

Enter the number of dinars you wish to convert into the box on the left side of the screen. Use a plain numeric format (i.e., to convert 20 dinars, enter "20.00" into the box).

    • 3

Using the drop-down list on the left, find the type of dinars you will be converting. From the list on the right, select "United States Dollars."

    • 4

Click "Go" to find out exactly how much your dinars are currently worth in USA dollars. However, pay attention to the date found above your result. It is important to remember that, while this is the exchange rate for a particular moment in time, the value could change without notice.

    • 5

Convert your money. Many travel agencies, banks and foreign exchange outlets will convert dinars into dollars. But beware that many agencies will charge a fee and/or a certain percentage of your transaction in order to convert your dinar. International airports will also do the trick, but their fees tend to be higher than average. If possible, it is best to shop around to get the best deal.
