How to Convert PDT to EDT
Pacific Daylight Time, or PDT, is the time zone of western North America during daylight saving time in the summer. Eastern Daylight Time, or EDT, is the same for eastern North America. As of 2010 in the U.S., daylight saving time begins on the second Sunday in March. The country reverts back to standard time on the first Sunday in November.
PDT is recognized in Washington state, most of Oregon, California, Nevada, and the western counties of Idaho in the U.S. PDT is used in Canada in most of British Columbia and Yukon provinces, and in Baja California Norte in Mexico.
EDT is recognized in all U.S. states that border the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and parts of Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Michigan. In Canada, most of Nunavut, Ontario and Quebec provinces recognize EDT.
