How to Find Land Coordinates
The coordinates of a geographical location are its measurements of latitude and longitude. Lines of latitude cross the earth horizontally so that they are parallel to the equator. Lines of longitude cross the globe vertically, running perpendicular to the equator. Together both of these types of imaginary lines are used to pinpoint locations all over the earth. You can find the coordinates of a location by using one of several programs available on the Internet.

Go to a website such as iTouchMap.

Click on a spot on the map.

View the windows for latitude and longitude to find the coordinates.

Go to a website such as World Atlas.

Click on the "Find the Latitude and Longitude" section.

Type in the address that you want to look for. You can be general, such as typing in a state, or you can narrow your search to a specific street address.

Click "Submit" to view the coordinates, as well as the position on the map.
