How Do I Pay the Congestion Charge?

A congestion charge is a charge issued to travelers driving into central London between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Monday through Friday. The intent of the fine, aside from raising money for the city, is to encourage the use of mass transit, because London sees a large amount of traffic and congestion during its peak business hours. While the congestion charge is a controversial taxation that many citizens disapprove of, the government has tried to make paying the fee as easy as possible.
