LPN Authority to Administer Injections in North Carolina

In North Carolina, LPNs may administer intramuscular injections without direct physician supervision if they have proper training, act within their scope under general physician supervision, follow physician orders, and document the administration. They may not give intravenous injections or perform other invasive procedures requiring higher training.
