Sketch your town's border on a pad. On the upper portion, identify the path those who plan to travel north would take. You also need to show the amount of miles that exist in a particular town in terms of length and width.
Draw and write down the prime roads of your town by name.
Insert your area's primary destinations and its most visited locations.
Place the secondary roads of your town on the map. This type of street attaches to your primary roads. Though you may not have the proper amount of space to show every single street on your map, do your best to provide people with a way to get from one location to another.
Insert historical locations. For instance, write the name and address of the first building in your town or some other type of landmark, so those who ask for directions can see how far the street they want to reach lies from this landmark.
