How to Create a Multi Stop Map

When planning a vacation or a trip, you may have more than one destination in mind. To help keep yourself on track and on schedule, creating a multi-stop map that exhibits routes to a variety of destinations will be extremely helpful. Design the map by outlining both the intended stops as well as the best path to get from one stop to another. You can highlight several main destinations or include smaller stops such as rest stops and gas stations as well, depending on how detailed you would like your multi stop map to be.

Instructions

    • 1

Print out a map showing the roads and highways of your travel area. For example, if you are traveling from Florida to Connecticut, you will want a map that shows the entire area from Florida up to Connecticut.

    • 2

Circle or star the destinations you plan to stop at on the map with the pencil.

    • 3

Use the pencil to sketch travel routes from city to city, road to road. Using the pencil will allow you to erase and re-do as often as needed to find the best route.

    • 4

Highlight the route in a yellow highlighter when you are satisfied with the travel plans form destination to destination and erase the pencil marks.

    • 5

Circle or star the multiple stops and destinations with the red pen and/or colored markers to make the stops easy to find with a quick glance on the map. Erase the pencil marks.
