Check the weather before you begin packing. What you pack depends on the weather, the time of year you are traveling and your destination.
Pack two weeks' worth of undergarments, throwing in a few extra in case of emergencies.
Include appropriate cruise attire for two weeks. For warm-weather cruises, you should pack resort casual clothes for dining, and bathing suits and beachwear for the pool and ports of call. Women should include Capri pants, khaki pants, sundresses, polo shirts, shorts, bathing suits and bathing suit cover-ups. Don't forget appropriate shoes such as sandals and flip-flops for the pool and beach. For cool-weather cruises, pack resort casual pants, shirts, jackets, sweaters and shoes.
Consider your planned activities and pack for those. If you're going to be in the Caribbean, you can dress casually in cruise ports. In Europe, you should dress conservatively for tourist destinations such as churches and other religious places.
Include formal wear in your luggage. All cruise lines have formal nights; check with your cruise line to see how many formal nights are on a 14-night voyage. For example, on Royal Caribbean cruises, you will have three formal nights on your two-week cruise. Men can wear suits or tuxes with ties and jackets. Women can wear pantsuits, cocktail dresses or formal gowns. Include a light wrap to keep warm, evening bags, shoes and jewelry.
Pack walking shoes for sightseeing, workout clothes for the on-board gym, a beach bag and reading material. Don't forget your phone charger, camera, battery charger and personal items such as contact lenses and solution, medications and your favorite makeup and personal products.
