You are ready for a great, relaxing time in the Caribbean, but you are not sure what or how to pack what you will need. By evaluating specifics for a Caribbean cruise, you can be assured that you will have everything necessary for a great trip and avoid overpacking.

Instructions

    • 1

Pack a couple days clothing and toiletry essentials in your carry on bag in case your luggage gets delayed or lost. The other items you need to have in your immediate possession are cruise tickets, photo identification and passport.

    • 2

Consult your cruise agent about any specific guidelines for the ship you are going to be aboard. Some ships require more formal attire at dinner than others. Chances are, you will see a wide range of different formal wear. There will be everything from tuxedos and long gowns to sport coats and Sunday dresses. Wear what makes you comfortable.

If your idea of a great cruise is total relaxation then you will want to pack lightweight comfortable clothes to lounge in.

    • 4

Off shore excursions are a great way to see the different ports that you are visiting. Keep in mind the activities that you will be enjoying. If you plan on hiking, take hiking shoes. Comfortable walking shoes are a necessity for all day tours of cities or ruins. Snorkel gear is provided for those excursions so there is no need to take your own.

Pack more than one swimsuit. You may want to grab some rays and a dip in the pool in the afternoon and also enjoy a late evening hot tub session. You will appreciate the idea of not having to pull on a swimsuit that is still wet.

Remember that days are going to be warm to hot anytime of the year in the Caribbean. Evenings cool off a bit and if you are out on deck, there will be a great breeze as you make your way to your next port of call.
