Clean and dry your water bottle. Bring it with you while shopping, so make sure it is clean and dry.
Visit your local sporting goods store with your water bottle in hand. If you don't have a store near you, find the size specifications of your bottle on its underside or packaging then visit a website that sells travel equipment. You will need to know the size of the bottle to get a properly fitting holder.
Decide if you will need to insulate your bottle or not. If you travel with hot water, beverages or soup, you may benefit from an insulated water bottle sleeve.
Select a cage-style or sleeve holder. You want the bottle to fit snugly into the holder, so insert your bottle into several holders until you find one that works for you.
Select a holder with a carabiner clip. This metal clip is essential for attaching your bottle to your luggage.
Purchase the appropriate holder.
Press the carabiner clasp to open it.
Slide the clip through any open loop on your luggage. Typically, there will be loops near every buckle, clasp and along the sides of the bag. Close the clasp once you have attached the clip.
Insert your bottle into the holder and bon voyage!
