Measure the length and width of the clear plastic luggage tag. Mark the measurements on the wrong (back) side of the material. If the tag is an oval or circle, just trace around the tag on the wrong side of the material for an outline.
Affix stabilizer to the outline using spray adhesive, peel and stick stabilizer, or iron-on stabilizer.
Open the embroidery hoop, insert material, and close the hoop with the outline and stabilizer in the center. Load the appropriate color embroidery and bobbin into your machine. Lift up embroidery needle in the embroidery machine, attach the embroidery hoop to the machine, and lower the needle. Select the monogram font style from the machine touchscreen and the font size.
Embroider the monogram onto the luggage tag. Before removing the monogrammed tag, you can add an outline or border to the monogram tag if desired. Lift the needle, cut off the thread, and remove the material from the hoop.
Cut the monogrammed luggage tag out of the material with sharp seamstress scissors.
Create the luggage tag name and address label in a publishing program using the measurements from Step 1. Print on cardstock and cut down to size. Glue the label to the back of the monogrammed luggage tag. Insert the finished tag into the clear luggage tag case.
