Lay out all the clothes you plan to pack in the same suitcase with the tuxedo. If you need access to anything during your travels, set this aside in another compartment or bag so you do not disturb your packing layout once it is completed.
Put the shoes you'll wear with your tuxedo in shoe bags. This protects the shoes from scratches, and prevents them from marking or dirtying any of the clothes in your suitcase.
Turn your jacket inside out, fold it in half, then wrap it in a dry-cleaning bag, which will help keep the jacket from wrinkling.
Lay your tuxedo trousers in the bottom of the suitcase with the legs hanging out of the side of the luggage. The trousers should be the first item of clothing in your suitcase.
Pack all your other items on top of the trousers, including your bagged shoes and tuxedo jacket.
Place all accessories, such as cufflinks and shirt studs, in a resealable plastic bag or closed container so they all stay in the same place.
Fold the tuxedo pant legs over your other packed clothes, tucking them carefully in the side if necessary. This should help the pant legs maintain their crease and minimize wrinkling.
