  Pour 1 tbsp. of dishwashing soap into a quart-size spray bottle. Fill the remainder of the bottle with warm water.

  Shake the bottle well to mix the contents, then spray the luggage with the mixture. Use a sponge or soft rag to rub the luggage with the cleaner.

  Rinse the luggage with a sponge or soft rag and clean water. Dry with a soft towel.

  Wax the luggage with a high-quality automobile or furniture polish that is silicone-based to help protect the luggage on future trips.

  Mix 1 tbsp. of dishwashing soap into a quart-size bottle. Fill the remainder of the bottle with warm water.

  Shake the bottle well to mix the contents, then spray the mixture directly on the spot to be cleaned. Use a sponge or soft rag to rub the spot until lifted.

  Use a commercial product such as a laundry stain remover or a stain remover for car upholstery if soap and water do not lift the stain.

  Mix 1/4 cup of vinegar to 1 cup of water in a spray bottle.

  Shake the bottle to mix the contents and spray the luggage with the mixture to remove smell. Allow the luggage to air-dry for several days.
