    • 1

Purchase luggage that comes with stain-resistant cloth. A common option is vinyl luggage. Stains can be quickly wiped off with water and cleaner.

    • 2

Place all liquids into plastic, Ziploc bags. More than one item can be placed in each bag, but make sure each bag is closed tightly. If a liquid spills, the bag should contain the mess.

    • 3

Store nesting suitcases separately. Storing them together increases the risk of dirt from inside one getting on the exterior of another. Wrap each suitcase in a plastic bag if storing them together.

    • 4

Apply a fabric protector on the exterior and interior of the luggage. Fabric protectors help to repel stains if something should get on the fabric. It is also effective in blocking stains.
