Instructions

    • 1

Assemble your tent. This is necessary for the best cleaning of your tent. It is best to do this on a sunny and slightly breezy (though not windy) day.

    • 2

Sweep the floor of the tent. This will ensure that no large debris is left behind and remove any pests, such as spiders and bugs, or pest eggs from the corners of the tent.

    • 3

Spray the outside of the tent down. This will remove dust and any mud that has accumulated on the tent. Do this with the door of the tent shut so as not to spray the floor of the tent. If the floor does get wet, however, you can simply dry it with paper towels.

    • 4

Spray the floor of the tent with antibacterial spray. This will kill any germs left behind from your last camping trip and create an environment that is unfriendly for future bacteria. For best results, allow the antibacterial spray to sit for a few minutes before wiping it out with paper towels.

    • 5

Spray the window screens of your tent with a light spray of antibacterial spray and wipe them off, gently, with paper towels. This will remove accumulated dust and bacteria.

    • 6

Allow your tent to stay up for several hours to ensure that it is completely dry before you pack it away. This will ensure that no bacteria or mold grows in dampness.
