Instructions

    • 1

Sweep out your tent with a small broom. Shake the tent on the outside to get rid of large dirt debris.

    • 2

Set up the sent outdoors in a shady area. Wash down the exterior of the tent with warm water and a large sponge to remove dust and dirt.

    • 3

Use non-detergent cleaners that can easily rinse away from the tent's nylon-based material. Avoid using scented detergents because they attract insects and pests. Mix 1 cup salt, 1 cup lemon juice (concentrated), and 1 gallon hot water into a bucket. Rub the wall of each tent room clean with a damp cloth or large sponge. Use another bucket specifically for rinse water to remove all traces of cleaner residue.

    • 4

Wipe down the tent's zippers to remove grit.

    • 5

Rinse every tent room down with a water hose. Don't allow any soap residue to linger as it will attract dirt to stick back to it. Allow the tent to air, opening any windows to fully ventilate all rooms within the tent.

    • 6

Pack the tent up and store it only when it is competently dry to prevent mildew.
