All aerosols, liquids and gels must be packed in clear plastic zip-style bags. The bag must be quart-size or smaller and the containers in the bag must be 100 ml or smaller.
Travelers are allowed only one of the quart-sized plastic bags in addition to carry-on luggage. All other liquids, gels or aerosols must be placed in checked luggage, not carry-on.
With proper permission from a TSA authority figure, certain medications, baby formulas, baby foods and breast milk are allowed to be part of carry-on luggage exceeding 100 ml and are not required to be in the one allowed zip-style bag.
