How to Pack Jeans for Vacation

Well-packed luggage helps you prepare for a relaxing trip before you hit the road. Jeans are one of the bulkiest clothing items to pack, but you can reduce the amount of space needed to pack them away and make more room to bring home souvenirs.

Instructions

    • 1

Assemble all the jeans for you want to pack and stack them according to length. Long jeans go on the bottom and jean shorts or kids' jeans on top.

    • 2

Fold the first pair of jeans in half at the crotch and lay it across the width of the suitcase. For now, the waistband and ankles of the jeans can hang outside of the suitcase.

    • 3

Take the second pair of jeans and fold them similarly. Alternate the waistbands so that the waistband of the second pair lies on top of the ankle of the first pair. Continue adding jeans in this fashion until all them are in the suitcase.

    • 4

Stack the other clothes and accessories on top of the jeans inside the suitcase. Leave a little extra space at the top of the suitcase to accommodate the ends of the jeans hanging over the side.

    • 5

Fold the overhanging portion of the jeans over top of the suitcase contents. The jeans should appear to form a big hug around the contents of your suitcase. Now zip the suitcase and enjoy your vacation.
