Consider the number of days and nights you will be in Hawaii before you begin packing, so you don't under- or over-pack.
Pack for the beach and pool. Bathing suits, flip-flops, sunscreen, bathing suit cover-ups, hats, sunglasses and reading material are a few examples of beach necessities. A large beach tote bag is handy for carrying those things to and from you hotel room.
Include clothes appropriate for sightseeing and tours during the day. Shorts, polo shirts, tank tops, capri pants and comfortable shoes are a reasonable choice for hiking, sightseeing and touring different Hawaiian attractions.
Pack for dinner. Many Hawaiian restaurants have a dress code of resort casual, which entails sundresses, capri pants, dress shorts, khaki pants and polo shirts. If you plan on dining in a high-end restaurant, you should ask what the dress code is when you make your reservation so you know to pack the appropriate clothing.
Include accessories. Hotels and resorts provide guests with the basics: shampoo, conditioner, soap and hair dryers, so you will need to pack your other toiletries. Don't forget contact lenses, solution, glasses, personal hygiene items, make-up, lotions and other skin care products. Cameras, phone chargers and battery chargers are also important to remember.
