Do Russian citizens need visa for Maldives?

As of now, Russian citizens do not need a visa to visit the Maldives for tourism purposes for stays shorter than 30 days. However, a multiple-entry visa is required for stays more than 30 days.

Here are the Visa requirements for Russian citizens to visit Maldives:

- General requirements:

- Passport: a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of arrival

- Return or onward air ticket: You need to show proof of your return or onward air ticket when you enter the Maldives.

- Visa: Citizens of Russia can obtain a 30-day single-entry visa-on-arrival to the Maldives, upon presentation of a valid passport, a completed Arrival Declaration form, and proof of sufficient funds for the duration of their stay.

- Arrival declaration form: All visitors must complete an Arrival Declaration form upon arrival. The form can be obtained from the airline or at the immigration counter.

- Proof of accommodation: You need to show proof of accommodation in the Maldives, such as a hotel reservation or a letter from a sponsor in the Maldives.

- Health requirements: Proof of Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from a yellow fever infected area.

Note:

- The tourist visa fee is US$100 for a 30-day single entry visa.

- The tourist visa can be extended for an additional 60 days.

- Russian citizens are not allowed to work or engage in any other gainful employment in the Maldives.

- Russian citizens must abide by the laws and regulations of the Maldives and respect local customs.
