Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Step 1: Determine if you meet the eligibility requirements
In order to move to the UK to marry your fiancé, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
*You are a US citizen.
*You have a valid passport.
*You have been in a relationship with your fiancé for at least six months.
*Your fiancé is a UK citizen or has settled status in the UK.
*Your fiancé has a minimum annual income of £18,600 (or £18,600 plus £3,800 for each child under 18).
*You have adequate accommodation in the UK.
Step 2: Apply for a fiancé visa
Once you have determined that you meet the eligibility requirements, you can apply for a fiancé visa. The fiancé visa is a temporary visa that allows you to live in the UK for up to six months while you make preparations for your marriage. To apply for a fiancé visa, you will need to submit the following documents:
*A completed visa application form.
*Your passport.
*Two passport-sized photos.
*Proof of your relationship with your fiancé, such as a marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate.
*Proof of your fiancé's income, such as a payslip or tax return.
*Proof of your adequate accommodation in the UK.
*A fee of £1,523.
Step 3: Attend your visa interview
After you have submitted your visa application, you will be invited to attend a visa interview at the US embassy or consulate in your area. At your visa interview, you will be asked questions about your relationship with your fiancé, your plans for your future in the UK, and your financial situation. You will also be required to provide biometrics, such as your fingerprints and a digital photograph.
Step 4: Get married within six months
Once your fiancé visa has been approved, you will have six months to enter the UK and get married. You must get married within six months of entering the UK, or your visa will be canceled.
Step 5: Apply for a family visa
After you have gotten married, you can apply for a family visa. The family visa is a permanent visa that allows you to live in the UK with your spouse. To apply for a family visa, you will need to submit the following documents:
*A completed visa application form.
*Your passport.
*Two passport-sized photos.
*Your marriage certificate.
*Proof of your spouse's income, such as a payslip or tax return.
*Proof of your adequate accommodation in the UK.

Step 6: Enjoy your life in the UK!
Once your family visa has been approved, you will be able to live in the UK with your spouse indefinitely. You will be entitled to work, study, and access public services in the UK. You will also be able to apply for British citizenship after five years of residency in the UK.
