3. Selection Process:
- After the registration period ends, the U.S. Department of State conducts a random lottery to select applicants.
- If you are selected as a potential DV lottery winner, you will receive a notification via email.
4. Diversity Visa Processing:
- Once you receive the notification, follow the instructions provided in the notification to submit additional documentation and pay the required fees.
- The U.S. Department of State will schedule an interview at the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
5. Interview and Issuance of Green Card:
- During the interview, you will need to present your passport, DV lottery notification letter, and other required documents.
- If your visa is approved, you will receive a Green Card, which grants you permanent residency and the right to live and work in the United States.
6. Apply for a Visa:
Selected applicants must apply for an immigrant visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate. The required documents include:
- DS-260 Immigrant Visa Application Form
- Passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay in the U.S.
- Two recent photographs meeting specific requirements
- Evidence of meeting education/work experience requirements
- Police certificates from countries of residence
- Medical examination results
- Affidavit of Support from a sponsor in the U.S. or evidence of sufficient funds
7. Consular Interview:
Applicants will be interviewed by a consular officer to determine if they meet the requirements for a green card.
8. Green Card Issuance:
If the visa is approved, the applicant will receive a green card, granting them permanent residency in the United States.
