How to Verify US Passport Application Information

The application process for getting a passport normally takes 10 to 12 weeks. You can check the status of your passport and verify the application information online via two United State government websites. Verifying the status of your application online only takes a few minutes and can be completed on a daily basis until you receive your passport. You can also find information on your passport application by calling certain federal agencies and by checking at your local post office.

Click on the “Passports” button on the webpage, and you will be able to apply for a passport or check your application status online. Go to the U.S. Department of State Passport website to check your application status. Once again you will need to supply your date of birth, social security number and last name.
