Look at the photocopies of your passport you have on file. It is always advised to keep photocopies of important documents such as credit cards, identification and passports to file with the U.S. Embassy when traveling. If you have these files, read the information from these documents. Be sure to keep them in a safe place so people will not find and steal your information from them.
Apply for a replacement passport. You must fill out the application found online and make an appointment at your local passport agency. You will need proper identification, passport sized photos and applicable fees when applying. A new passport will then be created and sent to your home. If you find your original passport, it is no longer valid.
