Make an appointment at one of the four approved Passport Acceptance Facilities in Long Beach. You can do this by visiting the State Department's Passport Acceptance Facility search page and selecting "California" under the state option and "Long Beach" from the list of cities. Select the option "Photo On-Site" under "Additional Search Criteria" for facilities that offer passport photo services.
Go to your chosen Passport Acceptance Facility. Bring your application, evidence of citizenship, primary form of identification and its photocopy, and your application fee. Take your passport photo on-site or submit the one you've purchased beforehand. Sign your application in front of a passport agent.
Wait four to six weeks for routine processing and two to three weeks for expedited services. Your passport will arrive in the mail.
