How to Get a Passport in Tucson, AZ

Passports are required for U.S. citizens traveling internationally. Passports are a form of identification that tell customs agents who you are and whether you are on any terror watch lists. The only time you do not need a passport book when traveling internationally is when you cross the Mexican or Canadian borders or cruise into any of the Caribbean islands or Bermuda. Passports or enhanced driver's licenses are accepted in lieu of passports in those locations. All U.S. citizens should apply for a passport at least six weeks before their international departure date.
