How Do I Get a Guatemalan Passport?
The Central American country of Guatemala has very specific requirements when it comes to applying and qualifying for a passport. Managed by the Guatemalan consulate, it is necessary to provide your proof of residency and proof of Guatemalan birth to the passport office. It is required that original verifying documents be presented at the time of application. Once all stipulations have been met, it is simply a matter of paying the necessary fees to obtain a passport.

Complete the passport application with all of your current information. This will include your date of birth, legal name, and current address. Applications can be obtained from your nearest Guatemalan consulate.

Provide your original birth certificate along with an exact copy. Legalized citizens of Guatemala can also obtain a passport from the Guatemalan government.

Supply a Cedula de Vecindad. This is a government issued form that proves your Guatemalan residency. The original and an exact copy of this document is required.

Pay the $65 application fee and the $80 processing fee via certified funds, credit, or cash.
