      Complete your citizenship test with the official from Homeland Security. Confirm that you have passed your test with the official. Do not hand over your travel documents yet.

      Wait for the official to explain the next steps and when your citizenship ceremony will occur. Appear at the location for the ceremony on the date and time provided by Homeland Security. Bring your resident card or temporary visa.

      Line up and raise your hand when instructed to do so. Speak the citizenship oath. Wait for the official to provide you with your U.S. naturalization certificate. Provide your resident card or temporary visa when asked to do so.
