Obtain a list of dialysis centers from your medical facility. The list will not necessarily rate the facilities, but will serve as a jumping off point.
Call each center in your destination city. Ask about the type of dialyzer, water quality, length of each session, blood flows used and staff. Use the answers to determine whether you are confident in the center's abilities.
Mark drugs clearly with a professionally printed label. Pack them along with as many syringes as you will need.
Pack a sufficient amount of medication to last your entire overseas trip. Put some extra in, as well, in case you spill some or lose it in travel.
Ship supplies to your destination ahead of you. This enables you to travel without worrying about carrying the medications. Ask your doctor if the country dispenses the drug you are taking.
Bring one universal connector with you in case you need it for your equipment. Put it in a carry-on with your supplies to make sure nothing gets lost.
Plan ahead for a clean space to store your dialysis supplies upon your arrival. If the medications need to be kept cool, talk to a pharmacist about how to pack them in transit.
Obtain a physician's letter explaining your health condition, need for dialysis, list of medications and recent test results. Keep the documentation with you at all times. Customs may demand to see it.
