Generally speaking, if you are a US Citizen traveling to Tobago as a tourist, you do not need a passport for stays of up to 30 days if:
- You have proof of US Citizenship like your birth certificate or naturalization certificate
- You have one of the below photo ID options: State driver’s license, US Passport Card, or Federally recognized tribal ID with photo
If your stay will be longer than 30 days, or for work or other non-tourism reasons, you will need a passport
Non-US Citizens
Non-US Citizens or Citizens of countries other than Trinidad and Tobago traveling to Tobago for any reason will need a valid passport that does not expire for at least 6 months beyond your date of entry into Tobago.
