1. Basic Requirements:
- Minimum eligibility: 12th pass or Graduation in any field.
- Age limit: 21 years and above.
- Must be a member of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA).
2. RERA Registration:
- First, you must register with MahaRERA (Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority) as a real estate agent.
- To register, visit the MahaRERA website and follow the instructions provided.
- Registration fees:
-For individuals- Rs 10,000/-
- For Partnership Firm/Companies/LLP- Rs. 25,000/-
3. Complete the Real Estate Agent Exam (REA Exam):
- Appear for the MahaRERA exam conducted by MahaRERA.
- Study the syllabus prescribed by MahaRERA for the REA exam.
- Pass the exam with a minimum of 50% marks.
4. Complete the Licensing Procedure
- Fill out the application form for a property agent's license available on the MahaRERA website.
- Attach the following documents:
1. Proof of age and address (Aadhar Card/Voters ID/Passport copy).
2. Copy of educational qualification (12th/ Graduation certificate).
3. Copy of PAN Card.
4. Two passport size photographs.
5. Proof of membership with RERA
6. Receipt of the payment of the registration fee.
7. Proof of completion of the REA Exam.
8. Experience Certificate (if any)
5. Submit the Application
- Submit the completed application form and documents to the MahaRERA office in Mumbai.
6. License issuance
- After scrutiny and verification of all documents, MahaRERA will issue a property agent's license.
7. Renew License
- The license is valid for five years from the date of issuance.
- It must be renewed every five years by paying a renewal fee and submitting the required documents.
8. Maintain Compliance
- As a licensed property agent, you must comply with all the provisions and rules of MahaRERA.
- Failure to comply may result in penalties or even revocation of the license.
