* Be a citizen of a VWP-eligible country.
* Have a valid passport that will not expire within 6 months of your arrival in the United States.
* Have a round-trip ticket or proof of onward travel.
* Not have been previously denied a visa or entry into the United States.
If you meet all of these requirements, you can apply for the VWP by completing the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) online. When applying for ESTA, you will be asked to provide information about yourself, your passport, and your travel plans. You will also be required to pay a fee of $14.
Once your ESTA application is approved, you will be able to travel to the United States without a visa. When you arrive in the United States, you will be required to present your passport and ESTA approval to a Customs and Border Protection officer. The officer may also ask you questions about your trip and may search your belongings.
If you are admitted to the United States under the VWP, you will be given a Form I-94 Arrival-Departure Record. This form will indicate the date of your arrival in the United States and the date by which you must depart. You must keep this form with you at all times during your stay in the United States and must surrender it to a Customs and Border Protection officer when you depart.
