Fill out your visa application at the UK Border Agency website. Ensure you have your passport, address in the UK, itinerary and email address nearby. Click "Apply online now" and follow the instructions. You will need to complete a visa application for every person traveling with you to visit the UK.
Make an appointment to visit the visa application center in Dubai. You can do this online or call 971-4-3572300. You can also email infoauk.ukae@vfshelpline.com or just visit the application center in person. Ensure you have all the documents needed to obtain your visa. You will need your visa application form, visa fee (the fee varies according to type of visa so check out the VFS Global website), passport, passport-sized photographs and supporting documentation. All documents must be originals. If your supporting documents are not in English you must take English-translated versions with you.
Allow plenty of time. Even if you have an appointment, you may still have to wait. You will have your fingers scanned for biometric data collection purposes and you will take a full-face digital photograph.
Wait while your visa application is processed. Times vary but the UK Border Agency aims to process applications within 5 to 10 working days. You will be contacted by the visa application center when your visa is ready.
Collect your visa from the visa application center. You can nominate another person if you are unable to visit yourself. You can also have the documents sent by courier.
Check your visa carefully to ensure all the information is correct. If you find errors, contact the visa application center immediately.
