How to Apply for a French Visa in Trinidad & Tobago

France has a national embassy in Trinidad and Tobago that is located in the capital, Port of Spain. The embassy is authorized to grant tourist visas to residing citizens of Trinidad and Tobago and foreign nationals who can prove they maintain legal residence in the country.
  1. Appointment

    • Visa applications require an interview. You must make an appointment at the embassy for the interview. The French embassy requests that you have completed the required documents and other materials before your interview.

    Application Documents

    • You will need to fill out an application for your visa. It may be based on the length of time you intend to spend in France: fewer or more than 90 days in a six-month period. There are supplemental forms if the applicant is either a member of the European Union or has a spouse who is a French citizen.

    Other Requirements

    • Fees will accompany the application. They will depend on the type of application and, in some cases, the age of the applicant. Some applicants are exempt from fees, such as young children or those who have a French spouse. You will need to complete a biometric process, which includes fingerprinting and having a photograph taken.
