How to Apply for a Ghanaian Visa

Ghana, located on Africa's west coast between Cote d'Ivoire and Togo, is among the top African nations in the tourism industry. The nation is a combination of beautiful sandy beach coastlines, dense jungle and wildlife, historical architecture and a welcoming culture and people. Americans, however, need to obtain a visa before entering Ghana for any reason. Luckily all visa applications can be done by mail and require only a simple application form and a few supporting documents. Processing times for visas vary; therefore it is best to apply for a visa about two months before your scheduled departure.
